It’s true, and yet millions of people went into the Social Media business with:
NO BUSINESS PLAN
NO SPECIFIC CALL TO ACTION CREATED
NO IDEA OF HOW THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE MONEY ON SOCIAL
AND LEAVING THE ENTIRE TASK TO UNSKILLED RECENT COLLEGE GRADS WHO’S ONLY EXPERIENCE WAS THAT THEY OWNED A FACEBOOK!!
I see thousands of inactive accounts daily when I filter through them with my software. I see great profiles, and wonderful sounding concepts littering the side of the Internet road, like so much tossed aside debris.
If you are not seeing tangible results from Social Media, or if your Website is not ranking on search, then you need to stop immediately playing games at this, because you are losing business by default.
How did I grow a vast network of over 4 million? How did I create a huge traffic machine that get’s real results?
I worked at it. There is no “magic formula” and if you came here looking for one then just move on. Social Media takes work.
As a Publisher of a Nationwide Brand, Social N and owner of PronetworkBuild, I have a few axioms that I stick with, and they work for me:
~ Get up early, and do your growth activities early in the morning. This gives people all day to get back to you, follow back, or connect on their favorite identifier
~ Create Calls to Action that Convert. ALWAYS BE CONVERTING. Keep tweaking them till they DO work, and then tweak them some more.
~ Always be shortening. If you have a tendency to write long blog posts? Shorten them to 300 words, people don’t read they skim.
~ Keep your Videos to about 58 Seconds, people tend to look at the timer at the bottom if they see a long video, they don’t watch it.
~ Have a daily effective plan for finding Local followers, even if you have an International brand ~ always be making local connections.
~ Know what you own, and know how to use it ~ don’t leave it in the hands of Interns, or Self Styled experts or so called Social Media Managers
If you find yourself ignoring ANY of these? Then you need to hire a guerrilla marketer to do it efficiently, inexpensively and effectively. Because I can guarantee you this: If you are IGNORING these basics? You are probably ignoring other important axioms and tactics as well. And that can’t be good for your bottom line.
I don’t want to become another statistic on Social Media, the Internet or Search. I WANT MY BUSINESS TO SUCCEED and I NEED MORE SALES!
